Size

Il maschio, più grande della femmina, raggiunge i 12 kg di peso.

Behavior

Sociale, vive in gruppi misti di 10-25 individui. Trascorre la maggior parte del giorno sul terreno, dove alterna lunghe sessioni di grooming (pulizia reciproca) ad ampi spostamenti alla ricerca di cibo.

Reproduction

La femmina raggiunge la maturità sessuale all'età di circa 3 anni e ogni 12-18 mesi nasce un cucciolo dopo una gestazione di 4 mesi. I maschi, raggiunta la maturità sessuale, abbandonano il gruppo natale, mentre le femmine rimangono instaurando una marcata gerarchia di dominanza.

Diet

Si nutre nel fitto sottobosco della foresta di frutta, semi, insetti ed altri piccoli invertebrati.
