Vive in piccoli gruppi nelle aride distese australiane e nelle foreste di eucalipto.
Size
Ha un peso tra i 14 e i 19 kg e una lunghezza di circa 1 m.
Behavior
Per resistere alle temperature elevate è attivo soprattutto al crepuscolo, passando le ore più calde al riparo sotto i cespugli o gli alberi.
Reproduction
Partorisce embrioni molto piccoli che completano il loro sviluppo in una speciale tasca ventrale: il marsupio.
Diet
Si nutre di erba e cespugli.
